01 / About
Rugby, programming, academics, and debate.
I studied Maths, Further Maths, Computer Science and Physics at Millfield, where I was Head Boy and Chair of the Student Council, and was appointed Rugby Club Captain. I played hooker for the school 1st XV and trained with the Bath Rugby U18s NextGen squad.
The programming is self-taught, started at 15, and was mostly done outside school hours: a pathfinding visualiser, a 2D physics engine, a blockchain with two consensus models and a market-scoring algorithm, all written from scratch. I debated for the school and took a Cyber EPQ. I still write code most weeks.

Roles at Millfield
Represented the student body to staff and governors, and spoke for the school at whole-community events.
Chaired the forum that took student proposals to the senior leadership team.
Appointed to lead the club across all age groups.
Led the set piece at hooker, and captained a number of fixtures.
Held day-to-day responsibility for the running of house and school life.
